ASA DataFest is an annual nationwide competition for undergraduates with the goal of analyzing real-world big data provided by a well-known corporate sponsor. It is a great opportunity to learn valuable skills that can help you prepare for the job market as well.

This will be a great opportunity to meet new students and build a team as well!

ASA DataFest Workshop

Our graduate students will host workshops to help you learn the necessary skills in R! If you have no previous experience in R, we strongly recommend enrolling in 'Introduction to R for Statistical learning' developed by the Department of Statistics on Canvas before the workshop. Another R resource to study is the Mizzou Computing ’R’esources site, which offers a variety of tutorials on programming, data management, analysis, and visualization in R.
